Late last year GGT was invited to discover gay and lesbian Switzerland, and after happily obliging, returned home a week later inspired by the experience. Switzerland Tourism and its partners, including Swiss Air, enthusiastically provided an unparalleled adventure in an unparalleled country.
The Swiss are a warm, sophisticated, life-loving and hospitable people, and the country itself offers a cornucopia of attractions to stir the senses: Euro-chic hotels, medieval villages, the majesty of the Swiss Alps, centuries of culture, rich and varied cuisine, high-end shopping, colourful markets, a thriving gay and lesbian nightlife, unrivalled standards of service, and year-round overwhelming natural beauty offering sights that will simply move you.
The Swiss are eager to show it all off and rightfully so.
Switzerland is versatile, able to accommodate travellers wanting a quick and easy getaway, or those looking for longer breaks. While negative stereotypes can hold true of some other destinations, there are two very positive stereotypes that thankfully hold true of this tiny country: the Swiss not only run a show that is efficient beyond compare, they grow their boys and girls capital-C Cute.
And don’t even get us started on the chocolate.
